Founded in 2007 by Chief Benefits officer, Charles DeSantis, GUWellness: Mind, Body, Soul is a University-wide initiative aimed at providing Georgetown’s faculty, staff and AAPs with the tools, resources and support they need to achieve their wellness goals.
Here at GUWellness, our core group of staff members work hard developing resources, promoting events, and evaluating tools to help our employees take charge of their physical, mental and spiritual well-being. We aim to integrate a philosophy of wellness into every aspect of working at Georgetown, creating a culture that supports and nurtures both individuals and the collective.
While our own programming makes up the bulk of GUWellness offerings, our goal is to act as a conduit for members of our community to connect and work toward their own wellness goals. We’ve worked with individuals and departments throughout the university to bring people together for yoga, support groups, tai chi, book clubs, bike safety classes and much more. Whatever you’re interested in, we’re here to help!
