May is National Bike to Work Month.
In celebration, we're highlighting some great resources and events that
may inspire you to give biking a try. Whether it's commuting to GU by bike on May 18 (Bike to Work Day) or any other day, going for a family bike ride or just giving a new trail a try during a beautiful spring weekend.

This website provides maps and guides; information on local trails, bike laws, group biking, commuting and much more! - Recycle your old bikes with Bikes for the World
- Go DC Go!
This site offers great information for commuters. Interactive maps featuring bicycle lanes and Captial Bikeshare stations; you can also check out other eco-friendly commuting options at this great resource. - Capital Bikeshare
With a station located just outside the main gates of the University at 37 & O Streets, may faculty and staff are finding this is a great alternative commuting resource. During the month of May you can stop by the Office of Faculty and Staff Benefits to purchase a discounted annual membership.

- Free Yoga on Thursday, May 10 at Yates Field House will be moved to 11:30 am. This will be the last yoga session of the semester. Classes will begin again in June.
- May 13 - 20 is DC Yoga Week. DC Yoga Week provides FREE and $5 yoga classes to Washington DC area residents, giving them with an opportunity to enjoy different yoga classes at participating DC studios for one week each spring.
- Bike to Work Day is May 18. Take advantage of the fun events, prizes and t-shirts being offered through WABA and its partners.
